Fasting for New Beginnings

Yesterday I shared about Jesus’ words to us about “fasting” from Matthew 6.  Our Willow View leadership and the new leadership of the Heartland Conference of the Global Methodist Church is encouraging us all to engage in some type of fast from Oct. 1 to 21, prior to the formation of our new conference in Wichita this November.

I pray you will join us.  Maybe give up a meal a week or an entire day a week or engage in one of the Daniel fasts in Daniel 1:10 or 10:2-3.  Ask the Lord what He wants you to do, and do something.  When we pray and fast food, the Lord can speak to us in fresh ways.

I also wanted to invite you to join me in reading through the book of Acts, one chapter every day through the next 21 days. (You’ll need to read Acts 1-2 today to get on board.)

I can’t wait to see what the Lord will do.  Bless you in your pursuit of Jesus at Willow View.
